FAQ

Questions people ask first.

Is this AI?

Yes, the old kind. Music theory written as physics: every note of your hum gets an energy, and the app searches for the version with the least of it, the way a soap bubble finds its shape. No generative model, nothing trained on other people's recordings, and you can always go back to exactly what you sang. The long answer has its own page.

Will it sing?

Only if you do. Hum, and your voice becomes an instrument: a pluck, a bell, a bass. Sing, and it comes back as your own voice, each syllable on its note. Your original recording stays in the app.

Do I need to sing well?

No. It fixes the accidents and keeps what you meant. Humming badly is the point.

Which music?

Playful, underground-leaning club music, one world for now. More worlds later.

What happens to my recordings?

They stay on your phone. Nothing is uploaded unless you publish something. The app sends a usage log without audio (taps, phone model, measured delay) so bugs on phones I don't own can be found.

Does it cost anything?

Free for now. If it ever costs something, you read it here first, and what is free stays free for the people who were here.

Phone or laptop?

Phone first, in the browser. Open it in Safari or Chrome, not inside Instagram or TikTok. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app.

The afterhour

Where the people who hum into this hang out.

Post what you made, ask for a sound, tell Daniel what's wrong. No algorithm, no feed. It's quiet in there right now. You'd be the first, which has its charm.
