Erhu tuner
A free erhu tuner in your phone's browser: the inner string on D, the outer on A, with a needle and the cents. Nothing uploaded.

The microphone stays open while you tune and closes when you stop, when everything is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded or sent.
How to tune
The erhu's two strings are a fifth apart: the inner string (nearer you) on D above middle C, the outer on the A above it. Bow a long, even note on each; the bow hair sits between the strings, so lean it gently on one at a time.
Turn the pegs for big changes and the qianjin, the cord loop around the neck, sets where the strings start: move it only if your teacher says so. Many players tune the D first, then match the A to it, a fifth that rings when it's right.
The needle shows how far you are from the note the tuner expects, in cents: a hundred cents is a semitone, five or closer gets the tick, and anything inside twenty most people don't hear.
Then play something
The notes you tuned go into Brumm as a short melody, inside a club track with a beat and a bass. No account, no upload: the notes travel inside the link itself. Hum or play a line there, and it becomes an instrument.
The microphone is read in the browser and nothing is kept. How the site counts visits.
