For parents
The long version.
What Brumm Kids is, what it does with the voice, who may share, and what we don't do.
In one sentence
Your child hums two bars, the app hears the notes, sets them in time and in key and plays them back in the beat: first as the voice, then as an instrument. Not a learning game, not a nursery rhyme. An instrument.

Where the voice stays.
On the phone
The microphone hears two bars. The phone turns them into notes and plays them in the beat. Songs and voice live in the browser, on this phone.
On our server
Nothing of the voice. All that is counted is that a page was opened, from which country, and whether Play was pressed and something was shared afterwards: numbers per day, without a cookie.
Only when a grown-up shares
Then the track goes to the server with the link, with the voice if it is in it. It stays there until you delete the link.
The microphone.
- The phone asks for the microphone on the first Brumm. It is only open while the four counts run and the two bars are sung.
- The recording stays on the phone and becomes notes there.
- Only when you share a song with your child's voice does it go to our server with the link. We ask you first, every time. And it stays there only until you delete the link.
- The voice plays as a sound in the track until ‹ › makes an instrument of it or Mika eats the melody.
Sharing.
- Only you decide. Sharing sits under Your songs behind a gate: hold a button, then solve a times-table sum. No child gets past it alone.
- We ask every time. No setting that is switched on once and then holds forever. If your child's voice is in the song, you confirm first that you are the parent or guardian and agree.
- What the link carries. The track as it runs, with the voice if it is in it. Plus, if you like, a title and a first name or nickname, only for the line Grandma reads. Never prefilled, never stored.
- You see every link. All of them are on the phone under Share.
- Deleting is instant. One tap, and the link is gone from the server. Its page is blocked for search engines anyway.
What we don't do.
All that is counted is how often a page is opened, from which country, and whether Play was pressed and something was shared afterwards: on the server, without a cookie, with a code that expires every night. Described exactly under Privacy.
Questions.
From what age?
As soon as a child can hum a melody back. There is nothing to read, Mika talks.
Is this AI?
Yes, the old kind. Music theory written down as physics, trained on nobody, nothing generated. The melody is your child's, only moved into time and key.
Do I have to install anything?
No. Open brumm.ai/kids in the browser, done. If you like, put it on the phone as an icon with “Add to Home Screen”.
Does it sound like children's music?
No. Beat and bass are the same as in the grown-up app: club music from Berlin. Only the controls are made for children.
Where do the songs stay?
On the phone, in the browser. Nine songs fit on the shelf. If the browser's storage is cleared they are gone; Safari clears it after about a week without use, not as an icon on the home screen. A shared link stays until you delete it.
What about headphones?
They work, but the speaker is easier: the child hears the beat, sings against it, everyone in the room hears the result.
Can my child break something?
No. Whatever has to go, you give to Mika. A tap on him brings it back. There is no button that does anything final, except Delete under Share, behind the gate.
Can my child share something by accident?
No. Sharing sits behind a gate made for children: hold a button for a while, then solve a times-table sum. And even then a link is only made when you make it on purpose.
