How to tune
The requinto is the small guitar that plays the lead lines in a Mexican trío romántico, with a scale of about 53 cm. It's tuned A D G C E A, every string a fourth above a guitar's, so a guitar with a capo at the fifth fret sounds exactly the same notes.
Requinto parts are usually written as if for guitar and sound a fourth higher, so a requinto player reading an E plays a fingering whose note is an A. Tune by the pitches in the table, not by the guitar names on your sheet, or every string ends up a fourth low and slack.
Then play something
The notes you tuned can go into Brumm as a short melody over a beat. Hum a line on top and it becomes an instrument.
