432 Hz tuner

A free 432 Hz tuner in your phone's browser: any note or a guitar's six strings, against A4 = 432 Hz instead of 440, with a needle and the cents. Nothing uploaded.

The microphone stays open while you tune and closes when you stop, when everything is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded or sent.

How to tune

Concert pitch puts A above middle C at 440 Hz; 432 Hz puts it about 32 cents lower, a third of a semitone. This tuner names whatever note you play and says how far it is from that note at A = 432. Or pick the guitar switch to tune six strings one at a time.

Claims about 432 Hz being healing or more natural have no evidence behind them; whether it sounds warmer to you is your call. Everyone you play with has to tune to the same A, so it works best alone or with a recording that is also at 432.

The needle shows how far you are from the note the tuner expects, in cents: a hundred cents is a semitone, five or closer gets the tick, and anything inside twenty most people don't hear.

Then play something

The notes you tuned go into Brumm as a short melody, inside a club track with a beat and a bass. No account, no upload: the notes travel inside the link itself. Hum or play a line there, and it becomes an instrument.

The microphone is read in the browser and nothing is kept. How the site counts visits.
