Bass tuner
A free bass guitar tuner in your phone's browser: E A D G one string at a time, with a needle and the cents; drop D and five-string low B as switches. Nothing uploaded.

The microphone stays open while you tune and closes when you stop, when everything is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded or sent.
How to tune
A four-string bass is E A D G, an octave below a guitar's four lowest strings. Pluck with the flesh of a finger over the neck's end, not near the bridge: that gives the tuner the fundamental instead of the bright overtones, and the needle settles faster.
A phone's microphone barely hears below 50 Hz, so for the low E and the five-string's low B the tuner listens to the overtone an octave up, which is just as exact. If it jumps, play the harmonic at the twelfth fret: same note, an octave higher, clearer.
The needle shows how far you are from the note the tuner expects, in cents: a hundred cents is a semitone, five or closer gets the tick, and anything inside twenty most people don't hear.
Then play something
The notes you tuned go into Brumm as a short melody, inside a club track with a beat and a bass. No account, no upload: the notes travel inside the link itself. Hum or play a line there, and it becomes an instrument.
The microphone is read in the browser and nothing is kept. How the site counts visits.
