Mandolin tuner
A free mandolin tuner in your phone's browser: G D A E, one pair of strings at a time, with a needle and the cents. Nothing uploaded.

The microphone stays open while you tune and closes when you stop, when everything is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded or sent.
How to tune
A mandolin is tuned like a violin, G D A E, but every note is a pair of strings. Tune one string of a pair until the needle sits in the middle, then the other; then play both together and listen: two strings a few cents apart beat, a slow wobble that stops when they agree.
The tuner asks for one pair at a time, low to high. Pluck near the soundhole, not with a hard pick, so the note rings long enough to read.
The needle shows how far you are from the note the tuner expects, in cents: a hundred cents is a semitone, five or closer gets the tick, and anything inside twenty most people don't hear.
Then play something
The notes you tuned go into Brumm as a short melody, inside a club track with a beat and a bass. No account, no upload: the notes travel inside the link itself. Hum or play a line there, and it becomes an instrument.
The microphone is read in the browser and nothing is kept. How the site counts visits.
