Recorder tuner
A free recorder tuner in your phone's browser: soprano (descant), alto or tenor recorder, a few notes at a time, with a needle and the cents. Nothing uploaded.

The microphone stays open while you tune and closes when you stop, when everything is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded or sent.
How to tune
A recorder is tuned by sliding the head joint: pull it out a little to play lower, push it in to play higher. Blow gently and steadily; blowing harder pushes a recorder sharp, so a fair test is the breath you play with.
A soprano (descant) recorder sounds an octave above what it reads; the tuner names the notes as you read them. An alto is in F, a tenor in C. Most plastic recorders can only move a little, and that's fine: within twenty cents, nobody hears it.
The needle shows how far you are from the note the tuner expects, in cents: a hundred cents is a semitone, five or closer gets the tick, and anything inside twenty most people don't hear.
Then play something
The notes you tuned go into Brumm as a short melody, inside a club track with a beat and a bass. No account, no upload: the notes travel inside the link itself. Hum or play a line there, and it becomes an instrument.
The microphone is read in the browser and nothing is kept. How the site counts visits.
