Accordion tuner
A free accordion tuner in your phone's browser: the clarinet register's single reed on three As, in cents, at 440 or 442 Hz. Nothing uploaded.

The musette wobbles on purpose. Mika listens to one reed at a time and leaves the wobble alone. The microphone closes when you stop, when all is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded.

The notes in Hz
| Note | Hz |
|---|---|
| A3 | 220.00 |
| A4 | 440.00 |
| A5 | 880.00 |
At A4 = 440 Hz; the reference switch above moves them all.
How to tune
Press the clarinet register, the single 8′ middle reed, and hold A below middle C, then the A above, then the next one up, with a steady, gentle bellows. New accordions are mostly built to A = 440; many older ones sit at 442, the switch below.
With two or three middle reeds sounding, the extra ones are tuned off on purpose, up to about 25 cents, for the tremolo of a musette; read through all of them at once and the needle can't settle. One register at a time, and a reed that is really off goes to a repairer: filing the tip raises it, scraping near the rivet lowers it.
Then play something
The notes you tuned can go into Brumm as a short melody over a beat. Hum a line on top and it becomes an instrument.
