Charango tuner
A free charango tuner in your phone's browser: G C E A E, one pair of strings at a time, with a needle and the cents. Nothing uploaded.

The microphone stays open while you tune and closes when you stop, when everything is in tune, or after half a minute of quiet. Nothing is recorded or sent.
How to tune
A charango is tuned G C E A E from the fifth course to the first, and it's re-entrant: the A sits below the E next to it, which is what gives the charango its bright, rippling strum. The middle E course is an octave pair, one string an octave lower; the tuner folds octaves, so tune both against the same E.
Nylon strings settle for days: tune, play a little, tune again. Strum all ten open strings at the end; in tune, they ring an A minor seven chord.
The needle shows how far you are from the note the tuner expects, in cents: a hundred cents is a semitone, five or closer gets the tick, and anything inside twenty most people don't hear.
Then play something
The notes you tuned go into Brumm as a short melody, inside a club track with a beat and a bass. No account, no upload: the notes travel inside the link itself. Hum or play a line there, and it becomes an instrument.
The microphone is read in the browser and nothing is kept. How the site counts visits.
