What note am I singing?
Sing Mika a note. Mika plays it back to you on the glockenspiel and tells you its name.

Sing me a note. I'll tell you its name and play it back on the glockenspiel.Sing me a note! A long Aaah.

The microphone turns on when you tap, listens for two seconds and turns off again. Nothing is recorded or sent.
Notes have names
Every note you sing has a name, just like the keys on a piano: C, D, E, F, G, A, B, and then it starts again with C. Between some of the white keys there are black keys, with names like C sharp or F sharp. Mika listens like a tuner and shows you the key closest to your note.
If your note sits between two keys, Mika tells you that too. That's not a mistake: a voice can sing any note, even the ones between the keys. A piano can't.
Games for two
Note ping-pong: One of you sings a note, the other sings it back. Then ask Mika if it was the same one.
Guess the note: Sing a note and guess its name before Mika says it.
Staircase: Sing a note, then one a little higher, then another. What are the names of your staircase?
In Brumm Kids your note turns into music: a beat, a glockenspiel, and you can sing a whole tune along.
For parents
The page only listens when your child taps, and only for two seconds. The note is read in the browser and forgotten right away: no recording, no account, nothing is sent. There are no points, no highest or longest note, and no comparing with other children. Good from about four, a few minutes is plenty. More about Brumm Kids.
